Biography

Godswill Akpabio was born on December 9, 1962, to Madam Lucy Obot Akpabio (née Inyangetor) and Chief Obot Akpabio of Ukana, Ikot Ntuen, of the Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

His mother raised him after the early loss of his father.

Akpabio received his education at the Methodist Primary School in Ukana, Essien Udim LGA, Akwa Ibom State, Federal Government College in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the University of Calabar, Cross River State, where he earned a law degree.
