Biography of Bogusław Linda
Bogusław Linda is a Polish actor and director who gained popularity in the 1980s.
He was born in Toruń, Poland in 1952. Linda graduated from the Theatre School in Krakow in 1974 and began his career performing at the Old Theatre in Krakow and later at the Polish Theatre in Wrocław.
In 1977, Linda made his debut on screen with a small role in the film "Dagny".
The plot of the film is divided in three equally important parts: three different life stories of a young man (reenacted by Bogusław Linda).
However, his breakthrough came with significant roles in political dramas such as "Fever" (1980) directed by A. Holland, where he played the anarchist Gryziak, and "Danton" (1982) directed by A. Wajda, where he portrayed Saint-Just.
These performances established Linda as one of the most popular actors of his generation.
Unfortunately, during the period of martial law in Poland, many films featuring Linda were banned by censorship, causing his name to disappear from the credits of Polish movies for a long time.
