          D-Side were an Irish boy band established in 2001 by Irish twin doctors Rory and Eoghan Mac Sweeney and signed by Clive Black at Edel Records.

          Edel brought in Kim Glover to manage the band after her success with New Kids on the Block, Ant & Dec (as PJ & Duncan), B*Witched and Let Loose. A highlight for D-Side was getting a recording contract with in Japan with Avex.

          They had huge success in Japan, the United Kingdom, and Europe, winning 'Best New Band Award' at the Smash Hits Tour in 2002 and scoring 3 UK Top Tens.
