Ramalinga Raju is an industrialist and founder of Satyam Computers. He founded Satyam computers in the year 1987 and served as its chairman until 7^th January 2009.

He was charged for cheating and insider trading and was arrested and jailed in Chachalguda.

He was born on 16^th September 1954 in Garagaparru Village in Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh in India. He finished his B.Com in Andhra Loyola College at Vijayawada and then finished his MBA in Ohio University in USA.

He also attended the Owner Course at Harvard. He returned back to India in 1977 and set up his own spinning mill named Sri Satyam. Then he started a construction firm called Satyam Constructions.

In 1987 he founded Satyam computers together with his brother in law DVS Raju.
